PREMARK^® - preformed thermoplastic road marking

Preformed thermoplastic road marking PREMARK^® is a preformed, ready-to-use thermoplastic road marking that can be applied to road surfaces all year round. Preformed thermoplastic road marking PREMARK^® lets you to heighten traffic safety without expending a lot of resources. Application is fast and easy because application requires only one person, a broom and a gas burner!

PREMARK^® is thermoplastic and fuses with the asphalt when heated. The product’s high quality and ability to fuse with the asphalt ensure a long service life. Preformed thermoplastic road marking PREMARK^® lasts 6–8 times longer than markings painted on the road surface.

The long-lasting durability of PREMARK^® makes it particularly well-suited for heavily trafficked areas such as intersections and city traffic. Also, preformed thermoplastic road marking material is resistant to petrol, oil, snow and frost.

The quality of PREMARK^® is reflected in several international authorisations such as ATG, Bast, BSI and NF.

LKF A/S has more than 40 years of experience in the road marking industry - both as a local contractor and as a manufacturer of thermoplastic road marking material for Denmark and export.

ViaTherm® and PREMARK®
During the 70s, LKF grew steadily as thermoplastic became recognised as the dominant road marking material in Europe. In the laboratory, LKF developed its own thermoplastic product called ViaTherm® and cancelled its licence agreement. Road markings were still laid using machines and templates, but after several years of development work, LKF launched a product called PREMARK®, which is a prefabricated road marking ready for use. Preformed thermoplastic road marking PREMARK^® emits no environmentally harmful substances, neither during or after application or at the time of removal.

TacPad® and TacGuide®

Over the last years, LKF has expanded the business areas and has started the production of tactile markings. TacPad® and TacGuide® signify a safer route for the blind and visually impaired when travelling alone. 

Export to most of the world
Through out the ’80s, LKF increased its exports considerably and in 1988 became part of the Geveko group. During the ’90s, LKF developed the export market to include most of the world, including production in the US and use of its own sales teams in key markets.

Marking, Cordoning and Street Furniture
The wide product range includes Marking, Cordoning and Street Furniture, and new products are continuously being added, based on customer requirements. This applies both to products developed for ourselves, and where products are developed in cooperation with suppliers.
