Expectations to roots blowers are many. Economics play a central role in all blower applications. This means lowest operating cost from minimum power consumption and simple maintenance. Minimum space requirement and installation work also contribute to cost savings.
Low noise emission from the blower means less expense in soundproofing the room in which it is housed. Furthermore

Function
Air is drawn in and filtered through the inlet silencer, which is equipped with a contamination indicator. The air enters the blower where it is trapped between the lopes of the rotors and the blower casing and transported to the discharge port.
The 3-lober rotors minimize pulsations and the blower casing has offset chambers for pressure equalisation. The rotors are driven V-belts with automatic tensioning from an electronic motor.
The discharge silencer absorbs any residue pulsations over a wide frequency band. An unloading valve allows the blower to run up easily and a pressure relief valve gives protection from excessive pressure.
The innovative concept
Intelligent component layout is the key to the small floor-space occupied by the
compact roots blowers and the arrangement also allows all maintenance to be carried out from one side.
Pipe connection and inlet opening are located on the rear of the package, which means that Compact roots blowers can be positioned directly adjacent to each other.
Space saving
PAM Compact blowers save space – exactly as their name suggests. The component parts of the energy-efficient, quiet running blower with unloading valve and pressure relief valve are cleverly and considerately arranged to occupy the minimum of floor space and still be easy to maintain.
Versatile
Optional additional silencing boxes are available to achieve really low sound level. Blowers can be designed for outdoor installation id required and may also be fitted on request, with thermometer, pressure gauge and pressure differential indicator for the inlet filter.
Blower with 3-lobe profile rotors
Lower power consumption results from the minimum clearance between the rotors and the casing, made possible by the intrinsic stiffness of the rotors and the non-axial loading, spur-ground timing gears.
Heavy-duty roller bearings and dynamic balancing contribute to long operational life. For applications up to 1000 mbar (g).
