Rotary valves from PAM A/S are manufactured in many models to meet your
needs.
Rotary valves
PAM, Poul Andersen Maskinfabrik A/S, situated in Denmark is a manufacturer of
rotary valves. The wide range of
rotary valves can be used for all kinds of powered materials as well as coarse- and fine-grained products. They can be employed as drop-through/metering valves and fitted with blow pipe for pneumatic transport.
The crucial feature of the valves is that they increase the capacity and reliability of the system. This is because our
rotary valves are made with high precision and to ensure maximum tightness when it comes to metering and transport.
Safety
The rotary valves can be used with up to 2,5 bar of differential pressure and are explosion-proof up to 10 bar. Versions conforming to Atex Zone 20 internal and external Zone 22.
Flexible product range
PAM’s range of rotary valves consists of two product lines: Type N and type UL. Each line is made up of eight valve models.
Technical data for the individual valve models can be found on our homepage.
What the two product lines have in common is that the rotary valves can be motorised to suit individual and variable requirements. Every PAM valve can for example, have a gear motor fitted on the side with a chain drive, friction clutch and full safety guards. The chain drive means that the sprocket wheels can be changed to adjust the speed of rotation to any change in requirements. The gear motor can also be mounted directly on the valve shaft or using a flexible
coupling.
The valve can also be provided with a hydraulic motor, which like the gear motor can be fitted with a chain drive or mounted directly on the shaft.
There are, however many other options when it comes to adapting the range to individual and variable requirements. PAM’s technical Department is at your service with professional advice based on specific requirements and operating conditions.
Capacities
Both product lines have capacities ranging from 5 dm3/revolution to 500 dm3/revolution.
Type N – broad application
Type N can perform a wide range of tasks. The rotor runs in heavy-duty ball bearings, which are lifetime lubricated and have double seal.
The rotor is sealed at the ends as standard. The vanes are angled, ensuring that the valve operates smoothly and freely with a minimal risk of blockages.
The rotor has eight/ten vanes which help give the valve its close machine tolerance.
The valve can be supplied, as standard with one shaft or, if required, a shaft at both ends.
Type UL for extreme requirements
Type UL is robustly made with housing and covers in a heavy cast quality. (Also available in AISI 304L or AISI 316L
stainless
steel.)
The housing is hard-faced on the inside. The rotor and housing are precision-ground to match, ensuring precise tolerance.
Rotary valves like type UL is specially designed to satisfy a number of extreme requirements. It is therefore ideal 0for conveying powdered material such as flour, hot fly ash and cement, for example. Type UL is also ideal for materials at high temperatures, as well as for highly abrasive or corrosive materials.
Type UL can deal with extreme materials because it has external bearings and stuffing boxes, and because the rotor has 10 steel vanes with a eutalloy coating.
PAM engineers complete pneumatic conveying solutions
and roots blowers for the industry. Our aim is to become one of the leading companies within this trade. We export approx. 65% of our
production.
