Thermo treatment plants
Wood Treatment Technology A/S (WTT) is modern manufacturer of Thermo treatment plants. Heat-treated wood from our thermo treatment plants has optimal characteristics: form stability and a high degree of dimensional, improved decay protection for wood out of ground contact and increased value through brown colouring of
softwoods.
Applications for heat-treated wood: panels and claddings for inside and outside use, fencing and decking timber, parquet flooring, playground equipment and garden
furniture.
Special characteristics within the WTT process:
Steam pressure process at 14 – 20 bar – Working temperatures from 140 – 210°C
No drying of the wood during the process – Lenient, yet fast treatment of wood
Treatment of both fresh and dry wood – No use of chemical additives or inert gas. Only a third of normal investments – Process costs per m3 only 15 – 40 €
Additional linseed oil treatment and steam function available as option.

Fully insulated stainless steel autoclave. Optional steam function and linseed oil treatment.

The company was established in 1977. Year 2003 the company was acquired by four senior colleagues and is today known as WTT - Wood Treatment Technology. WTT develop and manufacture plants for industrial wood preservation and wood drying. Examples of plants that form part of our business are creosote impregnation plants, SSV vacuum dryers, energy vacuum dryers for construction timber, impregnation plants, thermo treatment plants, creosote impregnation plants, fixation plants, double vacuum impregnation plants and hot-oil treatment plants. So far 800 plants in 36 countries have been delivered and are being serviced within the industrial wood preservation
industry.
Development and manufacturing within this highly specialized business area put heavy demands on a trained and skilled work force operating the best of machinery. Since 1985 the SSV vacuum dryer has been delivered to 250 customers worldwide for drying of first class hardwood and softwood. A new energy vacuum dryer has been available since 2003. Today these highly recognized vacuum drying plants are in use in almost every field of the wood drying industry. Continuous development is ensured in cooperation with leading institutes as for example the Holzfachschule Biel in Switzerland, BFA in Hamburg, and Forintec in Canada. Examples of recent developments of WTT are the thermo treatment plants as well as plants for treatment with hot-oil (linseed oil).
The Thermo treatment plant and all of our other products (e.g. heat
treatment plants) will significantly further develop the wood protection industry as well as the colouring of wood.
